01. WHY WE NEED IT

The need has never been greater.

A new 17,400-square-foot Food Recovery Hub gives the Emergency Food Bank more capacity to store and distribute nutritious food and the room to expand Food as Medicine and Nutrition Education for the neighbors who depend on us.

Nearly 1 in 9 San Joaquin County residents face food insecurity in 2025.

Demand surged through the pandemic and remains far above pre-2020 levels. Our current facility is out of room to keep up.

A purpose-built
Food Recovery Hub.

A larger hub with expanded cold storage, improved distribution, and dedicated space for nutrition-focused programs, designed for the next generation of hunger relief in San Joaquin County.
