Hunger Task Force
The Hunger Task Force for San Joaquin County was formed in 2006, and represents the City of Stockton, County of San Joaquin and more than 30 nutrition agencies, churches and schools. The Task Force meets quarterly to advance nine major goals to reduce or end hunger and food-insecurity in Stockton and San Joaquin County. Successes over the last two years include new Food Stamp outreach programs, a growing supply of donated food, enhanced nutrition and cooking educational programs, the EFB's new Mobile Farmer's Market vehicles visiting over 45 sites. New members or visitors to the task force are welcome; for more information and a schedule of the Task Force meetings, contact Tim Viall at the EFB at 464-7369 or rknodt@stocktonfoodbank.org.
