Health and Nutrition Fair, TBA: The Emergency Food Bank will be hosting a FREE health fair. In the past we have had great turnout with 200 - 250 people showing up. We will be inviting local agencies to come and distribute information about the programs and services they offer. National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive, May 8, 2010:  Each year the United States Post Office and the National Association of Letter Carriers hold a nationwide food drive.  This year the food drive will be held on May 8, 2010 and all you need to do is leave your food donation next to your mailbox and the letter carriers will pick it up.  Last year this food drive raised over 24,000 pounds of food for the Emergency Food Bank.  Thank you letter carriers for all you do on this day!

The Mayor's Hike and Bike, May 29, 2010: 8:45 am at the Stockton (Ports)Mayor's Hike and Bike Banner Island Ballpark, the Mayor’s Hike and Bike brings the community together to celebrate health and promote active lifestyles and charities in Stockton. Registration is from 6:45 to 8:45 a.m. Bikers will start at 8:45 and Hikers will start at 8:50 a.m. Beginning and ending at Stockton (Ports) Banner Island Ballpark, this event will feature twp walking courses and two biking courses of varying length throughout downtown and central Stockton. Proceeds benefit the Emergency Food Bank and Catholic Charities.  A Get Fit! Stockton Fitness and Health Fair will be offered to participants and the public from 8:45 to 11:30 am.

NAIFA - Central Valley 35th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, July 19, 2010:  The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors - Central Valley (NAIFA - Central Valley) is hosting its 35th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Elkhorn Country Club on July 19, 2010.  For the last 34 years NAIFA - Central Valley has donated over $350,000 to local charities and the last 10 years the Emergency Food Bank has been the beneficiary of this "Premier" golf tournament.  You can also purchase raffle tickets for a chance to golf at Pebble Beach.  The package includes golf for 4 at Pebble Beach with carts and two ocean view rooms for two nights.  For Sponsorship, golfing information or Pebble Beach raffle tickets please call Tim Viall at (209) 464-7369.

Super Bowl XLV Raffle:  You can purchase a raffle ticket for $100 for a chance to win one of six trips to Super Bowl XLV.  The package includes 2 tickets to Super Bowl XLV in South Florida and $2,000 in cash for travel expenses.  You can also win San Francisco 49ers tickets, Oakland Raiders tickets, AT&T Golf tickets, San Francisco Giants tickets and many more prizes. The Super Bowl XLV packages are generously donated by Alex and Faye Spanos and Family. The Emergency Food Bank receives 90% of each ticket sold by us. Donor Appreciation Day, October 2010, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm:  Come down and join us for Donor Appreciation Day at the Emergency Food Bank in October from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.  We are honoring you, our donors, for all you done for us.

Run and Walk Against HungerThe Run and Walk Against Hunger --Thursday, November 25, 2010
(Click Here): A 5K run and walk, 10 K run and 1/4 mile Kids Run and Walk, starting at the Stockton Ports Ballpark and finishing inside the Stockton Ports Baseball Park. This is the fifth annual run/ walk and we hope to draw 4,000 serious and occasional runners and family walkers to a fun event which showcases downtown Stockton and the waterfront. Christmas CanTree: The Central Valley Association of Realtor's Christmas CanTree is in it's 56th year in Stockton and we are once again going to be building the CanTree at the Regal City Center Cinema.  The CanTree benefits the Emergency Food Bank and The Salvation Army - Stockton.  Del Monte Lathrop is donating all the cans, 6,000 lbs, to build this CanTree.  The CanTree Committee is having several functions that are tied into the whole event.

CanTree- Bowling Tournament, TBA: Build a team and come out to Pacific Avenue Bowl and join in all the fun.  Admission is a $10.00 donation to CanTree or $10.00 worth of cans. Christmas CanTree Build Day, TBA: In November we will be building the CanTree at the Regal City Center Cinema.  If you would like to see how we build this 15 foot plus tree come on down.

Christmas CanTree Luncheon, TBA, Elkhorn Country Club:  Please come and join us at Elkhorn Country Club for lunch, raffle prizes and a Can Stacking Contest.  Lunch is $15.00 per person and the Can Stacking Contest is $25.00 per 3 person team.  Please RSVP for the CanTree Luncheon by calling CVAR at 209-858-1700.
