CANSTRUCTION, as part of the Asparagus Fest (end of April, each year)Canstruction
A featured event, whereby 8 or more companies create 4-6 can sculptures made solely out of canned and packaged foods. Architects, Builders, businesses and community volunteers utilize food products to conceptualize and create structures to benefit the food bank. All cans and funds raised through sponsors to help purchase food, in-kind donated food items are then donated to the EFB. This event brought in more than 4 tons of food in its inaugural year in 2011, and over $2500 to help make this a spectacular first year event.
