CalFresh Outreach Assistance Program
CalFresh is the new name for the Federal Food Stamps Program in California. In most other states, this program, administered by the U.S Department of Agriculture, is now known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This program can help you add to your food budget to put healthy and nutritious food on the table. The program issues monthly electronic benefits that can be used to buy nutritious foods at many supermarkets and food stores.
The CalFresh Program helps to improve the health and well-being of qualified households and individuals by providing them a means to meet their nutritional needs.

You may qualify for CalFresh Benefits! Many people are eligible for CalFresh but do not know that they qualify. With assistance from the Emergency Food Bank’s outreach worker, we can help you learn more about the CalFresh Program, prescreen you, complete and submit an application. You may contact Maria Venegas at (209) 464-7369 to get prescreened or schedule an appointment. Se Habla Español. Or just drop by the office during outreach hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-2:30 pm, 7 West Scotts Avenue, Stockton 95203.
Other services: Case Follow-up, assistance with Quarterly Reporting
(Q7) and Recertification paperwork.
Free training and presentations to community
agencies and schools
The Emergency Food Bank’s bilingual (English/Spanish) outreach
worker is also available to visit your community-based organization
to provide CalFresh presentations, prescreening and application

If your community-based organization is interested in CalFresh training, the Emergency Food Bank offers free training. At these trainings, you will receive helpful tools and information that will help you identify potentially eligible CalFresh recipients.
