Students and faculty for the University of the Pacific’s Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy held a free health care clinic in south Stockton on Saturday.

From 100 to 150 people had been expected to attend the day-long event, which featured screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, and vaccinations for flu, pneumonia, shingles, Hepatitis B and Tdap.

Students and faculty from the university’s Dugoni School of Dentistry were also on hand to give dental screenings.

Qualified attendees received a free blood glucose monitor and testing supplies, as well as free blood pressure test machines. The pharmacy school also partnered with the Emergency Food Bank to provide free bags of produce to the first 150 health fair attendees.
